So, we're busy at work getting ready for Spring quarter, and the copiers are running 20 hours a day. As you can imagine they get pretty hot, and to keep them from overheating we perform a little paperclip modification to the safety sensors so we can run them with the covers off. It's cool to see all the whirling parts that make up a high speed copier.

I get pretty bored at work, so I listen to my iPod about 6 hours a day; it makes 5:00 arrive much more quickly. I get so used to it I forget I'm wearing it.

I hate earbuds. They constantly fall out of my ears unless I jam them in deep, and then they hurt after about ten minutes. Luckily Eric turned me on to these Koss earbuds that have a metal hook that goes behind the ear. Sound quality isn't too great, but at least they stay put well.

I'm missing an ear. I wonder if those half-price body parts guys still have Alistair Cooke's in stock?

Today is the 20th anniversary of what is to me a very important day. Twenty years ago on this very day I had my 18th birthday. This was important, as at the time Idaho had a drinking age of 18, as opposed to Washington's rather draconian 21. To make it doubly sweet, soon after my birthday Idaho bowed to Federal pressure and raised their drinking age to 21 but grandfathered in anyone who could already legally drink, leaving those whose birthday fell just a few months after mine quite, quite screwed.
Thanks Mom and Dad.

St. Paddy's Day is here. Neat. I'm going over to Humbaba's place to eat Corned Beef and Cabbage and drink beer. Man, the Irish must be the fartin'est people on earth.
Last night I went to sleep a 11:00; the earliest I've been able get to sleep since my Vegas trip. Man, a few day's of revelry can really screw up my system now that I'm reaching obsolescence.

Played poker last night at a buddy's house; did pretty well, lost a close hand for $$ and ended up down $5.
Coming in to work this morning I was listening to my iPod and not paying attention to the world around me (late night+early morning+iPod=Walking into stuff) and I bumped into a little old lady knocking her to the ground. She wasn't hurt or anything after I helped her up, but it still got me thinking; should I have given up on football? Ah well, the road not traveled.
