Arrrgh!
Boston police noticed that someone had placed lite-bright cartoon characters around town as a way to market an upcoming movie. Their response? They closed a highway and part of the Charles River and deployed bomb squads to disable them. Two men who did the installations are under arrest and charged with criminal making the authorities of Boston look like idiots.
Mayor Thomas Menino - It is outrageous, in a post 9/11 world, that a company would use this type of marketing scheme.
Is there anything - ANYTHING - that can't be linked to 9/11?
Best part? They had been there for three weeks. Way to stay on top of things Boston PD. You're lack of observational skills is more than made up for by your unbelievable over-reaction. Good job!
